Kimberley International Old Time Accordion Championships

Rated one of the Top 100 Events in North America by the American Bus Association, the Kimberley International Old Time Accordion Championships, more easily known as KIOTAC, is an annual event that brings accordion players and lovers from all over the world.

Celebrating its 37 year in 2011, KIOTAC fills the community halls and arenas with daily competitions featuring some of the world’s best accordion musicians, from under the age of 10 to over the age of 75. If you love to dance, this is the place to be. Bring your lawn chair and your dancing shoes, as you’ll be entertained in the heart of Kimberley’s Platzl all day under the warm summer sun. In the evenings the action fires up at the local arena for the best of the best.

Whether you attend as a competitor or as part of the audience, this grass-roots event is all about meeting friends, sharing memories, and showing off great talents! And with more than $12,000 in prize money awarded, and over $6,000 in bursaries to youth, this is a highly prestigious event and competition.
