The City of Kimberley values its employees, and does its best to recruit and keep exceptional personnel. The Human Resources Department looks after all employee issues that relate to recruitment and retention, labour relations, collective bargaining, union/management relations, employee development, and occupational health and safety. It also assists with procedure and policy development,  performance management systems, organizational development, employee orientation, employee support services (EFAP), compensation and benefits administration, and participates on various committees related to human resource issues.

The Manager of Human Resources reports to the Chief Administrative Officer. The Payroll and Benefits Administration team are part of the Human Resources Department.
