Manager of Human Resources
Reporting to the Chief Administrative Officer (CAO), the Manager of Human Resources is responsible for initiating, developing, implementing, and managing processes, programs and policies across all aspects of Human Resources, Labour Relations, and Occupational Health and Safety. Working in collaboration with the senior management team, the Manager of HR contributes to organizational planning, workforce development, and continuous improvement, while leading the creation of progressive HR policies, supporting change management, and upholding best practices in human resource management. Planner
Reporting to the Manager of Planning and Sustainability, the Planner supports the department by conducting research and analysis relating to departmental and corporate priorities; researching, drafting and implementing bylaws, policies and programs relating to community planning and sustainability reviewing land use and development proposals; preparing reports and recommendations regarding development applications; and providing professional and technical advice to customers inside and outside the organization.
The successful candidate must have a thorough knowledge of the principles, practices and objectives of community planning, urban design, brownfield redevelopment, active transportation, and climate adaptation and mitigation. S/he will also be familiar with statutory requirements, bylaws, and procedures applicable to municipal planning and development. Proficient skills in MS Office and use of Geographic Information Systems.

Environmental Ambassador - Summer Student
Love the outdoors? Passionate about sustainability? Ready to make a real impact this summer?
The City of Kimberley is hiring an Environmental Ambassador to help educate residents and support local programs focused on water conservation, waste reduction, and wildlife awareness. This hands‑on summer role blends environmental learning with communications, community outreach, and real‑world municipal experience.
You’ll work alongside City staff to create educational materials, engage with the public, collect and analyze data, and help shape messaging that supports Kimberley’s environmental initiatives — all while spending your summer in a mountain community that values sustainability.
If you’re a student interested in environmental studies, communications, engineering, or civic operations — and you enjoy working with people — this is a great way to build experience and make a difference.
