The City of Kimberley provides water and sewer services, as well as garbage, recycling, and organics collection. 

The most common billing total for 2024 is as follows:

Single Family Dwelling: $271.83 per quarter

Breakdown of quarterly rates on a single-family dwelling:

  • Water: $130.32
  • Sewer: $115.20
  • Garbage: $11.32
  • Recycle: $2.49
  • Organics: $12.50

Utility Bills

Utility bills are mailed out to registered owners (or other individuals at the owners request) around the 3rd week of January, April, July and October.  If you have not received your utility bill contact City Hall.

Payments

Utility payments are due March 10th, June 10th, September 10th and December 10th.  When the 10th of the month falls on a weekend, the due date becomes the following Monday. 

Payments must be received at City Hall by 4:45 pm on the due date. The City accepts cash, cheques or debit cards at the cashier counter. Payments can also be made at most financial institutions, through telephone banking, internet banking or wire transfers.  Post-dated cheques are also acceptable. Payments are first applied to any outstanding (overdue) amounts and then to current amounts.

Utility bills that are outstanding after the due date are subject to a 10% penalty.

Utilities Outstanding at Year-End

Utility balances outstanding on December 31st are transferred to property taxes as arrears taxes and will be charged interest at the rate prescribed by the Province of BC.
