Rocky Mountain Child Care Centre - Marysville Update

School District No. 6 – Rocky Mountain recently shared their conceptual construction plans for the new Rocky Mountain Child Care Centre – Marysville that have been developed by MQN Architects, Vernon, BC. The new building will be constructed on the north end of the Marysville Elementary School site and this facility will be operated by Summit Community Services Society. These conceptual drawings show the site plan, the floor plan, and the exterior elevation of the child care building.

Currently the School District has submitted a development application to the City of Kimberley. The District is continuing to work with MQN’s design team including a landscape architect who is creating plans for the outdoor play area and landscaping around the new building. The goal is to commence construction this fall and we will provide an update on our progress in September.

For additional information related to child care in SD6, you can read their New Spaces Fund FAQ.

This facility will need Early Childhood Educators and Responsible Adults. Please find information below on how to become certified.
