City of Kimberley Water Conservation Plan
Posted: August 29, 2025
Due to ongoing hot and dry weather conditions and the continued need to conserve water, the City of Kimberley will move to Stage 3 Water Restrictions effective Tuesday, September 2nd.
Stage 3 restrictions are more stringent than previous stages and are necessary to protect the community’s water supply. The following measures will be in effect:
- Watering of lawns by homes or businesses is strictly prohibited.
- Watering of gardens, shrubs, trees, and flower beds is still permitted.
- Hosing or pressure washing of outdoor surfaces is only allowed for health and safety reasons, or when preparing a surface for painting, sealing, or similar treatment. All hoses must be equipped with an automatic shut-off device.
- Washing of boats or motor vehicles outside of commercial car washes is permitted only if the hose used has an automatic shut-off device.
- All decorative fountains must be shut down.
The City appreciates the community’s continued cooperation and commitment to water conservation. These measures are essential to ensure that Kimberley’s water resources remain sustainable.
