Join Kimberley’s Fire Chief Will Booth, Wildland Fire Ecologist Bob Gray and members of BC Wildfire Service for a one hour guided walk through the Levirs Avenue prescribed burn area in Kimberley Nature Park. Meet at Swan Ave entrance to the Kimberley Nature Park
See firsthand how prescribed burning works, why it’s used to reduce wildfire risk, and how it helps keep our forests and community safer. You’ll also hear about upcoming fuel management projects and what they mean for Kimberley.
When: Wednesday, May 20th
• Tour 1: 10:15–11:15 a.m.
• Tour 2: 11:15 a.m.–12:15 p.m.
