The City of Kimberley will be opening the Civic Centre as a cooling space for those needing refuge from the extreme heat.

 As of 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday June 30, 2021 the City of Kimberley has banned any open burning within City limits due to extreme heat and dry conditions.
