City of Kimberley Invites Community to Help Shape Budget and 2027–2031 Financial Plan

Posted:

The City of Kimberley is inviting the community to share their priorities as it develops its 2027–2031 Five-Year Financial Plan.

The plan will guide future investments in services and infrastructure such as roads, utilities, parks, trails, recreation facilities, emergency services, and community programs.

Through a short online survey, residents will be asked what matters most to them, where they would like to see future investment, and how the City should balance priorities, services, and affordability.

"Community input plays an important role in helping Council make informed decisions about where to invest limited resources," says City Chief Financial Officer Krista Waite. "We encourage everyone to take a few minutes to share their thoughts and help shape Kimberley's future."

In addition to questions about City services and infrastructure, the survey will also seek feedback on Council's current strategic priorities and ideas for the next Council term.

The survey will be open from July 14th to August 19th and is available at https://engagekimberley.ca/budget2027. If you prefer a paper copy, stop by City Hall!

Survey results will be compiled and shared with Council and the public through a "What We Heard" report. The feedback will help inform the development of the draft 2027–2031 Five-Year Financial Plan, which will be considered by Council later this year.
