Temporary Traffic Change on Burdett Street
To help reduce traffic congestion on Swan Avenue caused by construction activities on Kimberley Avenue, the City has temporarily opened Burdett Street to two-way traffic for local traffic only. Commercial vehicles are not permitted to use this route. Pedestrians are encouraged to use the trail on Swan Ave.
This temporary change is intended to improve traffic flow and ease delays for vehicles accessing Wallinger Avenue.
Please pay attention to all posted signage, obey traffic control measures, and use extra caution when travelling through the area.

As a follow-up to the previous press release on the fire that occurred at the Kimberley Public Works Yard on Christmas Eve, we would like to provide additional information to the community.
At approximately 4:00 p.m. today, the Kimberley Fire Department responded to a fire at the Public Works Yard. Fire crews arrived quickly and were able to contain and extinguish the fire.
The Kimberley Fire Department is currently managing a fire at the City’s Public Works Yard. The situation is under control, and there have been no injuries reported.
Due to unexpected mechanical issues with the collection truck, the Route C garbage pickup scheduled for today, December 18th, will be delayed to tomorrow, Friday, December 19th.
We are currently addressing a water main break in the area surrounding Selkirk Secondary School. The school and homes within the area outlined on the attached map are affected.
