Highway 95A & Jennings Avenue – Construction Update
Construction on Highway 95A will pause for the weekend. During this time, both eastbound and westbound traffic will be allowed through the work zone.
However, Jennings Avenue will remain closed throughout the weekend, with access available via Knighton Road for local traffic only.
On Monday, May 25, traffic on Highway 95A will return to single-lane alternating traffic as paving work is completed. This work is expected to finish by early afternoon.
Jennings Avenue will remain closed for ongoing road repairs into the week. We will update the public as more information becomes available.
Residents in the area (Jennings Ave, Church Ave, Collette Manor, and nearby streets) should be aware that temporary water disruptions are possible. Notices will be delivered to those directly impacted.
Please watch for posted signage, follow traffic control directions, and give crews plenty of space to work safely.

As a follow-up to the previous press release on the fire that occurred at the Kimberley Public Works Yard on Christmas Eve, we would like to provide additional information to the community.
At approximately 4:00 p.m. today, the Kimberley Fire Department responded to a fire at the Public Works Yard. Fire crews arrived quickly and were able to contain and extinguish the fire.
The Kimberley Fire Department is currently managing a fire at the City’s Public Works Yard. The situation is under control, and there have been no injuries reported.
Due to unexpected mechanical issues with the collection truck, the Route C garbage pickup scheduled for today, December 18th, will be delayed to tomorrow, Friday, December 19th.
We are currently addressing a water main break in the area surrounding Selkirk Secondary School. The school and homes within the area outlined on the attached map are affected.

A water main break has occurred on Wallinger Ave in front of Canada Post and has forced a full road closure. Detours are in place. Work is expected to continue through Thursday, July 7th.
