Stage 2 Water Restrictions in Effect July 27

Posted:

The City of Kimberley is returning to Stage 2 Water Restrictions, effective July 27. Stage 3 Water Restrictions were implemented on July 22, 2026 as a proactive measure in response to wildfire conditions and an evacuation alert. As the alert has been rescinded, Stage 3 restrictions are also rescinded, and watering allowances are restored to Stage 2.

To help conserve our water supply during the summer months, the City implemented Stage 2 water restrictions beginning on July 2. These restrictions include limits on outdoor watering and other non-essential water use.

Please review the poster for a quick overview of when you are allowed to water.

This restriction does not apply to flowers and flower gardens, vegetables and vegetable gardens, decorative planters, shrubs or trees. You are still able to water those.

For full details, including watering schedules and exemptions, see the complete water response bylaw on our website: https://www.kimberley.ca/services/environment/outdoor-watering
